Not a lot of driving today. Sadly left Point Sampson as the weather was rapidly improving. Karratha was another mining town, this time Woodside owns the workers. Went out to the North West shelf Visitors Centre. Wow, technology at its biggest! The Karratha Gas Works was part of the complex.
This is the monument to all the workers who have lost their lives.
We then went to the Dampier Transit Caravan Park where people can only stay for less than 3 days. Very small, and guess where we ended up. Yes, next to the eating shelter, we were lucky to get a spot at all so we and to grin and pray for a quiet night. View from caravan park. Wall to wall ships.
About 5.30 the television stopped working and wouldn't restart and the computer wouldn't talk to the WiFi. Crazy stuff, stressful and puzzling. To add to the great evening the loudest drunk yobbos in the park decided to have a party in the eating shelter. Midnight before they went to bed.
