Left muddy Spring Creek and travelled down to Hall's Creek through more spectacular mountains and valleys. It is so grand and almost overpowering. This one looks like a crocodile.
Just after Hall's Creek is a very popular free camp called Mary Pool (WA 636). We had decided to have lunch there but the camp is over a ford in the river which looked like this when we got there.
A helicopter had flown in in the morning to tell the people camping there to get out because the river was flooding but some people were still over there when we arrived. We had lunch at the next free camp instead. Visited Fitzroy Crossing and headed out to Ellendale Rest Area (WA 631). Arrived at the same time as a very large amount of rain so no sunset photo like I planned.
